Editorial policy
Rural Style Collective aims for clear, careful writing about rural design and the details of place. We distinguish verifiable description from opinion, avoid presenting taste as fact, and make our interests visible to readers.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and take care not to generalise from one building, object or setting to all rural places. When context is uncertain or an interpretation is contested, we describe the uncertainty. We do not claim first-hand inspection unless a piece clearly says it took place.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and we do not disguise advertising as an editorial recommendation.
Corrections and illustrations
If a reader spots an error, they can contact us with the relevant passage and, where possible, supporting context. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; those images are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs.
Character lives in the details
A rural place is not a style recipe. Its character emerges from use, material, weather and the choices accumulated over time.
